About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth running of our theatres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons and anaesthetists in preparing patients for surgery and maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the perioperative team to ensure that patients receive seamless care throughout their hospital stay.
  • Participate in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded and communicated effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standard.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with a strong background in perioperative care.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
