About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Educational Psychology Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality educational psychology services to children and young people across Birmingham.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of child development, learning, and behavior, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively with children, young people, and their families, as well as with teachers, support staff, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment and intervention of children and young people with a range of educational and behavioral needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide support and guidance on child development and behavior.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of educational psychology services.
