About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Educational Psychology Service. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality educational psychology services to children and young people in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of educational psychology services, including casework and research projects.
  • Contribute to the delivery of training and professional development opportunities for staff and partners.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to promote positive educational, social, and emotional outcomes for children and young people.
  • Support the development of locality-based and city-wide initiatives, including the 'SCERTS', ELSA, VIG, VERP, and MeLSA projects.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support the delivery of educational psychology services.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a good relevant undergraduate or postgraduate psychology degree qualification (GBC eligibility) and experience of working with children and young people in educational settings. You should be well-organised, a good communicator, able to take responsibility for managing your own workload, and committed to partnership working.
