We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological assessments, individual therapy, family interventions, and group work to support the recovery of young people with psychosis.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established and supportive Early Intervention in Psychosis service for young people aged 16-35 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis and their families. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides NICE-concordant care, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for psychosis (CBTp), Family Interventions for psychosis (FIp), and Carer Support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to support the recovery of young people with psychosis.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide consultation on psychological approaches to working with psychosis.
- Teach and supervise qualified, assistant, and trainee psychologists.
- Contribute to the planning and evaluation of services.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a qualified Clinical Psychologist with experience of working in Early Intervention in Psychosis services. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. You will also have a strong understanding of psychological theories and interventions, with the ability to apply them in a clinical setting.
