About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Bank Staff Member to join our team at Bright Horizons Caterham Burntwood Lane Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Bank Staff Member, you will have the flexibility to work on a part-time basis, supporting our nursery team with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Support nursery colleagues in engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, promoting their development towards key milestones and ensuring their safety throughout the day.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment for children and staff.
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and safeguarding.
- Contribute to the maintenance of high standards of hygiene and room preparation.
Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery setting.
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
- Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
