Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join our Theatre department at North Downs Hospital, Caterham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons during complex orthopaedic procedures.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working hours will be discussed during the interview process. As an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures
  • Assisting surgeons with complex orthopaedic procedures, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament repairs
  • Working effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintaining a clean and safe operating environment
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions
  • Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament repairs
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) would be desirable, but not essential
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • A warm, considerate, and empathetic character
