Bank Theatre Scrub Practitioner – Orthopaedics

Role Summary

As a Bank Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse in our Theatre department, you will play a vital role in our mission of 'people caring for people'. Our facilities are equipped with advanced technology, including laminar airflow systems in many of our operating theatres.

You will have the opportunity to access the Ramsay Academy, allowing you to enhance your career across our extensive network of independent hospitals throughout the UK. In this position, you will be an essential member of a team dedicated to delivering superior clinical results in a supportive setting. Your responsibilities will include performing the scrub role in Consultant-led surgeries, which may vary in complexity and specialization, as well as working across various specialties.

North Downs Hospital is recognized as one of Surrey's premier private healthcare facilities, known for its commitment to high-quality medical treatments and services. The hospital, established in 1974, is conveniently located within the M25 and offers 15 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, along with a daycase suite.

Qualifications and Skills

NMC/HCPC registration without restrictions or conditions Experience in surgical scrubbing within orthopaedics, particularly in hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament procedures is advantageous Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) is desirable but not mandatory Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently A flexible and positive mindset A warm, considerate, and empathetic demeanor
