The Inclusion Unit at Five Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Learning Partner, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver planned interventions and provide one-to-one support to students. Your role will involve managing challenging behavior, developing positive relationships, and supporting students' social, emotional, and mental health development. Key responsibilities include:

* Supporting students to develop self-regulation strategies and a positive sense of self
* Managing challenging behavior in a calm and patient manner
* Delivering planned interventions under the guidance of the class teacher
* Providing feedback to the class teacher and SENDCo

Essential criteria for this role include:

* Remaining calm in challenging situations
* Building trusting relationships
* Good listening skills
* Ability to adapt and use own initiative
* Patience and resilience

Desirable criteria include:

* Team Teach qualification
* Teaching Assistant qualification
* Prior experience working in a secondary school
