About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our East Specialist Health Community Learning Disability Team. As a specialist physiotherapist, you will work with adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs, providing specialist physiotherapy services that are tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist physiotherapy services to adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
  • Work closely with other multidisciplinary team members, carers, and services to enable community inclusion and promote independence.
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate specialist physiotherapy programmes as part of an overall care plan.
  • Apply specialist knowledge and skills to meet the needs of those with profound and complex needs.
Requirements
  • Post-qualification experience in physiotherapy.
  • Experience of working with people with communication difficulties.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Clear understanding of the role of physiotherapy within a multidisciplinary team.
