Position: Lead Manufacturing Engineer

In the role of Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be instrumental in the creation and enhancement of powertrain assembly facilities for electric vehicle models. Your collaboration with a diverse group of engineers, suppliers, and vendors will be key to maintaining high standards of quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of new facility designs through to production
  • Develop and refine assembly and testing methodologies
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess manufacturing requirements
  • Implement process quality planning and simulation builds
  • Analyze manufacturing technologies for various applications
  • Address technical challenges and offer support to the engineering team
  • Facilitate program meetings across all organizational levels
  • Meet equipment performance targets for new manufacturing sites

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management related to facility setup and product launches
  • Proficient in IT, including MS Office, CATIA V6, and other relevant software
  • Familiarity with assembly processes and machinery
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols and risk assessments

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in validating facility systems and managing handover processes
  • Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Competence in 6 Sigma or similar methodologies for problem-solving
  • Familiarity with MES, SAP, and control systems

Qualifications:

A degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.
