Development Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Surveyor to join our team in Oxford. As a key member of our Planning and Development South team, you will be responsible for providing expert consultancy and agency advice to our clients on residential and mixed-use development land.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide valuation advice on land and property assets, including financial appraisals of development sites
  • Utilize Argus Developer to analyze development viability
  • Conduct options appraisals to identify development potential
  • Offer development consultancy advice to clients
  • Undertake comparable and market research to inform development strategies
  • Advise on planning and development strategies, including formal reports and alternative land use values
  • Support with strategic advice on delivery structures, development agreements, and joint ventures
  • Manage residential development land agency instructions
  • Prepare marketing campaigns, including brochures and information packs, and set up data rooms
  • Negotiate and structure Heads of Terms for transactions
  • Mentor graduates in the wider division/office
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will be an RICS chartered surveyor and registered valuer with post-qualification experience in development consultancy and agency. You will also have experience and knowledge of development appraisals, advisory, and disposal work. Competency in Argus Developer (or equivalent) is essential.

You will be an excellent team player with forward-thinking skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication skills are required to develop client relationships and support internal colleagues.
