About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with adults, children, and their families who experience mental health difficulties.
Main Responsibilities
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing individualized therapy sessions to support service users in achieving their goals and improving their mental health and wellbeing.
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify service users' needs and develop effective interventions.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss service users' progress and develop strategies for improvement.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with adults, children, and their families who experience mental health difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A flexible and empathetic approach to working with service users who may present with challenging behaviors.
