Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our rotational scheme across University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust and Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas, including Acute Care, Older Persons Medicine, Neurotherapy, Rehabilitation, and Paediatrics. As a rotational Occupational Therapist, you will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge across different environments and settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients across the Trust.
  • To participate in the rotational scheme, working across inpatient and community settings, and developing your skills and knowledge in different clinical areas.
  • To consolidate Occupational Therapy core skills, using evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • To manage a defined caseload, using your skills and knowledge to provide effective Occupational Therapy services to patients.
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner, under the direction of more senior qualified staff, and to participate in weekend working and extended hours as required.
Person Specification

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who:

  • Is State Registered (HCPC) or pending qualification.
  • Has experience working within a multi-disciplinary team and has applied the OT process.
  • Has used functional assessment and activity analysis in their practice.
  • Is able to work in a variety of clinical areas and settings.
