Azure Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team in Surrey. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures on the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and DataBricks
  • Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs
  • Collaborate with data engineers, visualisation engineers, and data architects to deliver data-driven solutions
  • Work with solution architects to estimate and deliver packages of work
  • Manage the delivery and evolution of data models
  • Develop robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data storage systems
  • Clean, aggregate, and structure raw data into a usable format for analysis
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience using Azure Data Factory
  • Solid understanding of SQL queries for retrieving and manipulating data from relational databases
  • Python experience is desirable
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA
  • Solid understanding of database design principles and data modelling
What We Offer:

We offer a 6-month contract initially with a view to extend. The organisation is located in Chessington, Surrey, and offers hybrid working with onsite presence once a week and WFH for the remainder of the week.
