Azure Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team at Rethink. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures on the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and DataBricks
  • Develop and maintain data models to support data analysis and business intelligence needs
  • Work with solution architects to break down and estimate packages of work and contribute to design documents and review process
  • Manage the delivery and evolution of data models
  • Collaborate with data engineers, visualisation engineers, and data architects to deliver and enable organisations to make data-driven decisions
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience using Azure Data Factory
  • Solid understanding of SQL queries for retrieving and manipulating data from relational databases
  • Python experience is desirable
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA
  • Solid understanding of database design principles and data modelling
  • Experience with modern dashboarding platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik would be advantageous
What We Offer:
  • 6 month contract initially with a view to extend
  • Hybrid working arrangement with onsite work once a week and WFH remainder of the week
