A well-established regional Insurance Broker based in Surrey is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a brand-new Enterprise Data Warehouse from scratch, using cutting-edge technologies. As the Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using dbt
Implement Data Vault 2.0 and dimensional modelling techniques
Build and maintain interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and deliver on reporting requirements
Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all data pipelines
Use Azure Synapse Analytics, Purview, Fivetran , and Azure DevOps to build and manage the data warehouse
Support and mentor team members with less Data Warehouse experience

Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in data engineering or related roles, with strong proficiency in SQL
Expertise in Data Vault 2.0 and dimensional modelling
Hands-on experience with data ingestion and transformation
Experience with Power BI for developing reports and dashboards
Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and architectures
Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and other cloud-based data solutions
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar version control systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider business
