Azure Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team in Surrey. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures using Azure Data Factory and DataBricks.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure delivered solutions meet their needs.
- Work with solution architects to break down and estimate packages of work and contribute to design documents and review process.
- Manage the delivery and evolution of data models.
- Deliver a suite of data models, including building robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data storage systems.
- Assure appropriate processes and metrics are in place to run the platforms and solutions as part of a business-as-usual service.
- University degree or equivalent IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience using Azure Data Factory.
- 5+ years of experience using DataBricks.
- Solid understanding of SQL queries for retrieving and manipulating data from relational databases.
- Python experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Solid understanding of database design principles and data modelling.
- Experience with modern dashboarding platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik would be advantageous.
