Position Overview:

As a Speech and Language Therapy Specialist, you will be an integral part of our educational service, providing essential support to children in mainstream educational settings. Your expertise will help address the speech, language, and communication needs of students, ensuring they can thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized therapy services to children with Speech/Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), collaborating closely with parents, educators, and other professionals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored therapy plans.
  • Implement effective interventions and strategies to enhance communication skills and facilitate access to the curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and support to school staff and families regarding the management of communication difficulties.
  • Maintain accountability for professional practice, seeking guidance from senior colleagues when necessary.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced colleagues and students, offering constructive feedback and support.
  • Design and deliver training sessions for educational staff to enhance their understanding of SLCN.
  • Collaborate with various statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children.
