Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships, managing procurement activities, and identifying cost reduction opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives
  • Manage and track the request for proposal (RFP) lifecycle
  • Perform commercial and transactional activities
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to support efficient and quality-driven procurement activities
  • Lead transformational activities to build organizational procurement capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
  • Implement measures to optimize procurement processes, such as contract standardization and automation
  • Track and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with finance and other departments to develop and monitor cost-saving initiatives
  • Advises on contract negotiations, vendor selection, and risk assessment
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years Category Management/Strategic Procurement/Vendor Management experience, plus IT Category Management experience required
  • Educated to a bachelor's degree level
  • Experience in developing and implementing procurement processes, strategies, and best practices with strong contract management skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement processes
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
  • Ideal candidates would have experience within the field of clinical vendor operational delivery or hands-on experience in the management of clinical vendor services
  • Preferred background in life science, pharmacy, health-related discipline, business administration, management, IT or other relevant experience within clinical vendor management required
