Procurement Change Leader

Procurement Heads is excited to collaborate with a leading global management consultancy to recruit several Procurement Change Leaders.

These positions are primarily dedicated to assisting a Central Government client in enhancing procurement expertise and skill development in alignment with upcoming regulatory changes.

Additionally, there will be chances to engage in various procurement transformation initiatives across the public sector.

This is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious organization with a presence in over 140 countries and a workforce numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

With numerous offices throughout the UK, you will have the flexibility to work from any location for part of the week as part of a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution and facilitation of an 'Advanced Course of Deep Dives' for diverse groups of procurement professionals from central government and the broader public sector.
  • Equip participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and insights to navigate confidently under the new regulatory framework, maximizing its advantages to achieve superior procurement outcomes.
  • Utilize your expertise and network to assist in generating and securing new business prospects within procurement education and related transformation initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in teaching, inspiring, and mentoring, with an emphasis on fostering a positive, learner-centered online environment.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement methodologies, including category management, strategic sourcing, contract oversight, and supplier risk assessment.
  • Experience in leading and enhancing procurement capabilities within the public sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the complete procurement lifecycle and essential public procurement policies, directives, and regulations.
  • Experience in designing and executing changes to procurement operating models.
  • Membership in a recognized professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).

Additionally, experience in complex cost reduction initiatives across both direct and indirect expenditures, including the application of advanced procurement analytics techniques, is essential.

Demonstrable awareness of current trends and technologies in the procurement sector is also required.
