Sales Support Specialist - Engineering Sector


Hello Recruitment Associates is excited to announce an opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist within a prominent engineering organization.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring in-office attendance for the initial period, with potential for a hybrid work model thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, including sales personnel and service technicians, through various communication channels.
  • Evaluate incoming inquiries, pinpoint discrepancies, and provide timely responses to customer queries with accurate information.
  • Address customer inquiries and requirements, ensuring clarity on specific needs and product specifications.
  • Prepare and verify initial quotes in accordance with pricing policies and managerial guidance, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
  • Disseminate quotations to clients, facilitating follow-up by the relevant sales personnel as necessary.
  • Manage customer purchase orders within the local ERP system.
  • Effectively relay updates regarding customer orders to dispatch and warehouse teams.
  • Generate shipping documentation, labels, and other necessary materials as requested by customers.
  • Handle sales returns and credits as required.
  • Provide customers with updates on their existing orders.
  • Compile and comprehend risk assessment data, completing the Master Check List for orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall success of the sales and service departments.
  • Maintain communication with sales managers, service engineers, and other team members to ensure they are updated on project-related information.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes for the benefit of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review quotations prepared by the sales administration team to ensure accuracy in cost and pricing before they are sent out.
Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems is essential.
  • Ability to interpret component parts from technical drawings.
  • Background in a mechanical engineering environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with export regulations is crucial.
  • Strong teamwork skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication abilities with both internal and external clients.
Compensation Package:

  • Permanent full-time employment
  • Salary range: £35,000 – £39,000, based on experience
  • Annual bonus (pro-rated based on year of joining)
  • 20 days of annual leave (pro-rated)
