About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Early Years Skills Development Coach to join our team at Clearline Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering apprenticeship and upskilling courses in Early Years, working closely with a team of Skills Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver apprenticeships in L2 and L3 Early Years
- Provide specialist information, advice, and support to learners
- Provide the required level of support for each learner to enable timely successful completions
- Ensure learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, either remotely or in the workplace on a 1:1 basis
- Maintain learners' records, including teaching records, plans and progress
- Meet the needs of learners with additional learning support requirements with a variety of learning differences and disabilities
- Prepare learners for their End Point Assessment (EPA) and support with the off the job training
- Mark all work via the Aptem e-portfolio system and provide constructive feedback
- Implement additional support where needed
- Report safeguarding disclosures, through the safeguarding process
- Responsible for personal ongoing CPD and keeping up to date with any changes within the sector
- Attend standardisation meetings and NSA team meetings
- Deliver Skills Boot Camps in Early Years
Requirements:
- Experience of working within the work-based learning industry, delivering apprenticeship qualifications and quality assuring against early years standards and certificate/diplomas - essential
- You will have had at least 2 years' experience of working within the early years sector
- Previous experience within the further education and/or training sector
- Experience in a similar environment and of teaching a variety of learners with different abilities and age
- Previous delivery of apprenticeship standards
- Previous use of e-portfolio systems
- Relevant experience of supporting and enabling learners with learning support needs
Qualifications:
- Assessor Award TAQA, A1 or equivalent - essential
- IQA/V1 certificate - desirable
- Teaching qualification - desirable
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills
- You will also need knowledge of Microsoft Office software and have competent keyboard and IT skills
- Hold a clean UK driving license and be a car driver - essential
