About the Role:

The Midcounties Co-operative is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our nursery management team, you will be responsible for supporting the leadership and development of your team, providing direction, guidance, leadership, and expertise to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Early Years professionals to deliver high-quality education and care to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve teaching and learning practices, ensuring that children make excellent progress and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Excellence team to drive continuous improvement and excellence in all aspects of nursery operations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and practices that align with the nursery's vision and values.

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 6-degree qualification in Early Years or a related field (e.g., EYTS, EYPS, QTS, PGCE, BA or BSc in Early Years).
  • Proven experience of leading a team in the Early Years sector, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted inspections.
  • Clear enhanced DBS, a sense of humor, and a passion for Early Years and working with children.
