Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons New Church Rd Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Early Years professionals to provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Develop and implement engaging and stimulating learning environments that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure seamless communication and a positive, happy, and safe environment for all children.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies related to childcare and education.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the nursery's curriculum and policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in Early Years education.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
