Job Title: Skills Coach (Childcare)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Skills Coach to join our team at Clearline Recruitment Ltd. As a Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering apprenticeship and upskilling courses, making a positive impact on the learning experience of apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver apprenticeships in L2 and L3 Early Years, providing specialist information, advice, and support to learners.
  • Ensure learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, either remotely or in the workplace on a 1:1 basis.
  • Maintain learners' records, including teaching records, plans, and progress.
  • Meet the needs of learners with additional learning support requirements, including those with various learning differences and disabilities.
  • Prepare learners for their End Point Assessment (EPA) and support with off-the-job training.
  • Mark all work via the Aptem e-portfolio system and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement additional support where needed and report safeguarding disclosures through the safeguarding process.
  • Be responsible for personal ongoing CPD and keep up-to-date with any changes within the sector.
  • Attend standardization meetings and NSA team meetings.
  • Deliver Skills Boot Camps in Early Years.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within the work-based learning industry, delivering apprenticeship qualifications and quality assuring against early years standards and certificate/diplomas.
  • At least 2 years' experience of working within the early years sector.
  • Previous experience within the further education and/or training sector.
  • Experience in a similar environment and of teaching a variety of learners with different abilities and age.
  • Previous delivery of apprenticeship standards.
  • Previous use of e-portfolio systems.
  • Relevant experience of supporting and enabling learners with learning support needs.

Qualifications:

  • Assessor Award TAQA, A1, or equivalent.
  • IQA/V1 certificate (desirable).
  • Teaching qualification (desirable).

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and competent keyboard and IT skills.
  • A clean UK driving license and be a car driver.

Working Hours and Salary:

This role could be 2-5 days a week, dependent on the applicant. The salary is generous and dependent on experience.
