Key Responsibilities of a Year 2 Teacher:

  • As a Year 2 Teacher, you will oversee the emotional and educational development of children embarking on their Key Stage 1 journey, fostering collaboration and creating an optimal learning environment.
  • Deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum to diverse groups while concentrating on each child's individual learning objectives, nurturing their strengths, and addressing their challenges.
  • Enhance mathematical skills by introducing concepts such as fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Assist students in improving their writing skills by guiding them in developing plots, characters, and settings for their narratives.
  • Monitor student progress and provide updates to parents as necessary.
