**Job Title:** Deputy Depot Driver Team Leader - Logistics Operations Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Depot Driver Team Leader to join our team at Leader Online Ltd. As a key member of our logistics operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of drivers and ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Team Leadership:**
    • Support the Depot Team Leader in supervising and motivating a team of drivers to ensure they meet performance targets and objectives.
    • Support with scheduling shifts and routes to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands.
    • Assist the team in unloading and loading vehicles each morning.
  • **Operational Management:**
    • Competently use reporting tools and IT software to manage logistics operations.
    • Collaborate with driver agencies to ensure cover for all areas of daily runs, including timesheet checks, in the absence of the Depot Driver Team Leader.
    • Coordinate with the Transport Planner to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
    • Support the Depot Driver Team Leader in monitoring driver performance and vehicle maintenance to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
    • Ensure products are packed safely and securely to prevent damage in transit.
    • Assist in managing returns and collections at the depot using bespoke computer systems.
  • **Safety and Compliance:**
    • Conduct all activities in a manner that promotes the health and safety of yourself and all colleagues.
    • Support site compliance, vehicle checks, and safety checks to ensure all vehicles are safe and compliant.
    • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents involving company vehicles.
    • Ensure all daily deliveries are completed with exceptional OTIF control by ensuring accurate loading, unloading, and delivery and collection of all orders.
    • Ensure accurate checking and verification of all stock on all vehicles, reporting issues to the Depot Driver Team Leader.
    • Ensure all vehicles are kept safe, clean, and tidy, and no smoking takes place in the vehicles.
  • **Company Objectives:**
    • Ensure business and individual key performance indicators are met.
    • Provide KPI support on data entry on all agreed system sheets.
    • Contribute actively to achieving departmental service level and targets.
    • Identify potential risks, problems, or product defects and ensure they are reported immediately and resolved or highlighted as appropriate.
  • **Customer Service:**
    • Demonstrate exceptional driving standards and compliance, while also being courteous and supportive to our customers.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer enquiries and concerns in a professional manner.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience as a FLT operator and hold a current FLT operating certificate.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the transport or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with transportation management systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
