Location: Haydock

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a background in the FMCG, food production, or packaging sectors? Do you possess both mechanical and electrical expertise?

This position is ideal for a versatile maintenance engineer. Candidates may have either a mechanical or electrical focus, but must have experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting, particularly with production and packaging machinery. Familiarity with Slitting, Lamination, or Converting Equipment is advantageous but not mandatory. Ideally, engineers should be apprentice-trained or hold equivalent qualifications. A minimum of a 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate as the sole engineer on site, managing all maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct both reactive and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Engage in project work and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee facilities management as necessary.

Engineers will adhere to strict Health & Safety regulations, and due to the nature of the products being supplied to the food industry, compliance with HACCP guidelines is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
