Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Keeler Recruitment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining a high level of financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Code invoices to the correct General ledger and Cost Centre Code, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Supplier Management: Contact suppliers to review discrepancies with invoices, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Payment Processing: Make payments via BACS twice monthly, plus any other ad hoc payments, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts, supplier statements, and company expenses, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Personnel Expenses: Process monthly personnel expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Data Entry: Enter data into the SAP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Cash Management: Manage 'Cashbooks' and 'Cash Flows', ensuring accurate and timely management of company cash.
  • Credit Card Management: Manage Credit card accounts, including posting costs into SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Audit Support: Provide support for monthly and annual audit checks, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Communication: Liaise with Department Managers regarding invoice queries, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Financial Support: Provide support to the Business Accountant in all other finance duties, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Current experience within a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of SAP or similar accounting system, preferred but not essential.
