Position Overview:

Role: LEAD CARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to all team members in the direct provision of patient care, ensuring that personal care tasks are performed with respect for the individual's privacy and dignity.
  • Employ suitable moving and handling equipment to minimize the risk of injury to both patients and staff.
  • Possess knowledge of clinical assessments, including glucose monitoring and urinalysis, and understand the appropriate escalation procedures for reporting patient conditions to senior staff members.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees by demonstrating essential duties and setting a positive example to ensure safe and effective care practices.
  • Manage personal daily tasks by organizing and prioritizing responsibilities in accordance with departmental needs.
  • Communicate essential information to patients regarding their health status within your professional scope, taking into account potential barriers to understanding, such as physical or cognitive disabilities, and delivering information with empathy and sensitivity.
