Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Secretary to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and secretarial support to our clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide high-quality administrative support to our clinical teams, including managing correspondence, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring compliance with Trust quality standards.
- Secretarial Services: Provide a full range of secretarial services, including typing, quality checking, and storing clinical correspondence in a timely manner.
- Diary Management: Manage the clinical team's work diaries and schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met and plans are adjusted as necessary.
- Minute Taking: Take accurate and detailed minutes of meetings and ensure that action points are followed up.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, carers, relatives, and other stakeholders, responding to queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Education and Qualifications: Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Experience and Skills: Proven experience in a similar role, with excellent administrative and secretarial skills, including proficiency in MS Office and NHS systems.
- Communication and Relationship Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, patients, and other stakeholders.
