About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Development Officer to join our Campus Services team at the University of Salford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our Campus Masterplan and promoting sustainable travel across the university.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainable travel and transport plan for the University.
  • Develop, implement, and encourage initiatives to support and improve staff and student travel planning arrangements.
  • Oversee multiple projects as part of a large programme, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote sustainable travel and reduce the University's carbon footprint.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial business and transportation planning, with a strong understanding of stakeholder communications and risk management.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
