About the Role

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to lead our health inequalities partnership team. As the Health Inequalities Partnership Lead, you will be responsible for leading the team in engaging with operational, clinical, and cross-organizational project team members to progress the successful delivery of objectives and activities relating to the core ICB function of tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the health inequalities partnership team in engaging with operational, clinical, and cross-organizational project team members to progress the successful delivery of objectives and activities relating to the core ICB function of tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access.
  • Influence positive change in tackling health inequalities through a detailed working knowledge and understanding of healthcare and the socio-economic influences relating to healthcare inequalities.
  • Engage with and contribute to matrix working with Strategic Commissioning and Insights Teams in relation to Statement of Information Standards for health inequalities and implementation of PHM approaches.
  • Contribute to development of coherent and outcome-based health inequalities Commissioning Intentions in the Joint Forward Plan and System Strategies.
  • Propose and implement a range of methodologies to the evaluation and measurement of the performance of health services in reducing healthcare inequalities.
  • Contribute to influencing the system to deliver on wider determinants of health inequalities including green agenda.
  • Develop systems for the recording and monitoring of ICB duties to reduce inequalities in the exercise of functions in regard to relevant sections of the NHS Act 2006.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience in a specialist area.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise of healthcare and the socio-economic influences relating to healthcare inequalities and organizational development.
  • Proven and significant leadership experience.
  • Evidence of post-qualifying and continuing professional development.
  • Understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciation of the implications of this on engagement.
  • Appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, NHS England, and individual provider and commissioning organizations.
