Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Psychologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality psychological care to our clients.

About the Role

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will work closely with qualified practitioners to support the delivery and evaluation of psychological interventions. You will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver a group programme for our Primary Care Network Aligned Psychology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance psychological care by assisting qualified practitioners in the delivery and evaluation of psychological interventions.
  • Develop and deliver a group programme for PCN Aligned Psychology.
  • Support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service, providing psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • Work with inpatients, outpatients, and staff of the primary care and secondary care mental health services.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a BSc in Psychology (approved by BPS) and relevant mental health experience. Desirable qualifications include experience of group work, working with clients with severe mental health issues, and working in primary care.
