About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Recovery Team in Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide medical leadership and oversight to our services, working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership to the Recovery Team, working closely with colleagues to develop and implement care plans.
  • Oversee the work of the Specialty Doctor, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in a trust on-call rota, providing medical cover for general adult, old age, CYPS, and learning disability services.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients in the Cheltenham Integrated Locality Partnership.

Person Specification
  • GMC Specialist Register, or eligible for such inclusion (within 6 months)
  • Higher specialist training or extensive UK experience in acute psychiatry
  • Experience of recovery working at consultant or advanced trainee level (desirable)
