About the Role

Brave New Spirits Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share in the UK spirits industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including independent retailers, wholesalers, and on-trade establishments.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including emerging trends and market developments.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with key customers to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
  • Manage promotional and activity budgets to maximize ROI and drive sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive customer records and sales intelligence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and production, to drive sales growth and market share.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in the premium spirits or whisky sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the UK and international drinks trade, with a focus on whisky and premium spirits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales plans.
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the drinks industry.
  • Proficient in IT, with the ability to learn quickly.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in a business or commercial subject.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the premium spirits or whisky sectors.
  • Full, clean driving license is essential.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is remote, but requires easy access to the company HQ in Glasgow.
  • The role will involve frequent travel throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays away from home as required.
  • The successful applicant will be required to attend trade events throughout the UK (and occasionally internationally), which may require evening or weekend working as necessitated by the business.
