Position Overview

Owen Reed is looking for a dedicated Legal Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our legal recruitment initiatives and will work closely with our Legal Recruiting and Development (LRD) Department.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the recruitment and development of our future legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with LRD team members on graduate recruitment efforts and provide support to the broader recruitment team as necessary.
  • Coordinate interview schedules, welcome candidates, and gather feedback for trainee and associate recruitment.
  • Manage applicant tracking through our recruitment system.
  • Oversee background verification processes and facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation sessions.
  • Promote our presence at legal recruitment events, including organizing materials and logistics.
  • Assist in reviewing graduate applications and selecting candidates for assessment days, ensuring all materials are current and organized.
  • Help coordinate graduate programs, including events, presentations, and interviews.
  • Support the organization of trainee induction programs and professional skills courses.
  • Assist in managing the trainee review process.
  • Collaborate with the team to coordinate summer programs and other training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain confidentiality in all dealings.
  • Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for important communications and records.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the team and the recruitment process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree and have relevant recruitment experience within a law firm or professional services environment. Familiarity with the legal qualification process is advantageous.

Technical Skills

Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with a solid understanding of database management systems.
