  • Facilitating the management of discharge prescriptions to ensure seamless patient transitions.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the development and management of the pharmacy service to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Providing specialized pharmaceutical services tailored to the needs of various departments.
  • Advising on resource management strategies to promote cost-effectiveness.
  • Contributing pharmaceutical expertise to multidisciplinary teams involved in policy and protocol development.
  • Addressing complex pharmaceutical inquiries and offering guidance to healthcare professionals.
  • Conducting annual audits and managing risks to foster continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • MPharm or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Management certification.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Membership in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (MRPharmS).
  • Experience in leading and supervising pharmacy teams.
  • Background in acute care teaching.

Experience Requirements

Essential

  • Extensive experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.

Desirable

  • Evidence of experience in secondary care pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver clinical pharmacy services across multiple specialties.
