About the Role
The Central and West Warrington PCN is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pharmacists and General Practitioners in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to our Pharmacists and General Practitioners in managing patient caseloads and delivering the defined requirements of the Primary Care Network DES and IIF.
- Support the implementation of medication changes and ensure that all major MHRA drug alerts are acted upon in a timely manner.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure adherence to monitoring and shared care protocols, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with our Clinical Pharmacists to provide clinical and professional support to GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team.
- Participate in the administrative responsibilities of the practice team, including maintaining accurate records and data, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Support the development of others in the team, including students and trainees, and participate in the planning and implementing of changes within the area of care responsibility.
Requirements
- Current GPhC registration
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
- Excellent communication and clinical skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to cope with uncertainty and change
- Self-motivated and able to work in a busy environment, with excellent time keeping and prioritisation skills
