About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Claims Engineer to join our team at MTrec Technical. As a Motor Claims Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing claims, negotiating prices with suppliers, and developing relationships with national networks of motor assessors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess claims and determine the cause of failure
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers and obtain alternative quotations
  • Develop relationships with national networks of motor assessors
  • Proactively develop continuous improvement in the ways of working, taking advantage of technology and best market practice
  • Understand and make recommendations around industry best practice
  • Develop and enhance working relationships with individual dealers to ensure best price and service
Requirements
  • Experience working in a workshop, Bodyshop, or coachworks environment
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ/C&G Level 3 mechanical engineering qualification (preferred)
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical vehicle parts and components
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident and able to work well within a team
