About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Motor Engineer to join our team at Solus Aviva. As a Field Base Motor Engineer, you will be responsible for preserving consistency and delivering exceptional customer service across our market-leading business and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deal with all aspects of Insured and Third-party motor inspections, using state-of-the-art technology to receive and audit estimates prior to authorising repairs to our Approved Repairer Network and Customer Nominated Repairers.
  • Monitor the performance of our Solus sites and approved repairers, recognising potential areas of improvement and building relationships.
  • Work closely with our Solus sites and approved repairers to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
Requirements
  • Member of either IMI, IRTE, ATA, or VDA, or working towards (or willing to do so).
  • Motor Claims knowledge, including a basic understanding of insurance principles.
  • Good working knowledge of computerised damage estimating systems, including Audatex.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Positive and self-confident approach when dealing with customers.
  • Empathy, tact, assertiveness, and diplomacy when talking to customers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and use own initiative when necessary.
  • PC literate with good administrative skills.
  • Ability to take on increased ownership and responsibility when necessary.
