Position Overview:

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to take on the role of Lead Practitioner for CAMHS Services. The ideal candidate will possess qualifications as an RMN/RGN and have a proven track record in a managerial capacity within a mental health setting, particularly in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the CAMHS team, fostering an environment that encourages excellence in clinical practice.
  • Oversee the operational, strategic, and financial aspects of the CAMHS service, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to all service users.
  • Manage staffing levels effectively, collaborating with other service leads to maintain adequate coverage and respond to the needs of the service.
  • Review and respond to referrals promptly, ensuring that all necessary information is evaluated to make informed decisions.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Services Manager to implement and uphold clinical standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain up-to-date reporting dashboards to monitor performance and compliance.
  • Facilitate staff supervision and appraisal processes, ensuring that all team members receive the support and guidance necessary for their professional development.
  • Promote a culture of inquiry and learning from incidents, ensuring that best practices are followed to enhance patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records in accordance with GDPR requirements, addressing any risks related to patient care as they arise.
