Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at Yellow Submarine Charity. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading the recruitment and management of volunteers across our projects and activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Volunteer Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies to attract and engage volunteers from various sources, including schools, colleges, and community organizations.
  • Volunteer Management: Provide support and supervision to volunteers, including students and interns on placements with Yellow Submarine Charity.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver a comprehensive training program for volunteers, including organizational induction training and regular workshops.
  • Volunteer Records and Evaluation: Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and evaluate the effectiveness of our volunteer program.
  • DBS Checks and Compliance: Conduct and maintain DBS checks for volunteers and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with other organizations that recruit and support volunteers in our community.
  • Support at Yellow Submarine Charity Activities: Provide support at our activities, including social clubs, daytime sessions, and holiday activities.
  • Innovation and Development: Contribute to the development of new and innovative ideas to support our target groups and meet our charitable objectives.
  • General Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the Co-Directors, while upholding equal opportunities and anti-oppressive practice, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
