Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at Restore Limited. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for recruiting, supporting, and developing our volunteers to ensure they have a positive and impactful experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Recruitment and Management: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of skilled and engaged volunteers.
  • Volunteer Support and Development: Provide ongoing support and training to volunteers to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to ensure they are equipped to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
  • Volunteer Experience and Impact: Lead on the development and improvement of volunteer experiences and impact, ensuring that volunteers are engaged, motivated, and empowered to make a difference.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Administrative and Organizational Skills: Provide administrative support to the team, including managing volunteer databases, tracking volunteer hours, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Volunteer Management Experience: Experience of managing staff and/or volunteers, with a strong understanding of volunteer management principles and practices.
  • Interpersonal and Influencing Skills: Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Confidentiality and Sensitivity: Ability to deal with confidential information and respond with sensitivity to the opinions of others.
  • Voluntary Sector Experience: Experience of working in a voluntary sector setting, with a strong understanding of the sector's principles and practices.
  • Training and Development: Experience of delivering training or public communication, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and practices.
  • Flexibility and Non-Judgmental Approach: Flexible and non-judgmental approach to people and work, with a strong commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.
