Volunteer Coordinator & Studio Assistant

Contract Type:

Part-time, 4 days per week

Role Overview:
The Volunteer Coordinator and Studio Assistant will play a vital role in facilitating volunteer activities throughout the organization and enhancing visitor engagement within the newly established Studio space and Ground Floor Gallery.

In response to community feedback, we have identified a significant demand for increased participation opportunities with local residents.

The successful candidate will foster meaningful dialogues with visitors in a vibrant and welcoming environment. These interactions are crucial for cultivating enduring connections with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to volunteers as they greet visitors on the Ground Floor, ensuring a safe and inviting atmosphere for all.
  • Utilize experience in public engagement and exceptional customer service, ideally acquired in an arts, heritage, or museum context.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the principles of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
  • A proactive, self-driven, creative, and enthusiastic demeanor with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience in assisting or facilitating workshops within art galleries and museums.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including email, spreadsheets, and databases.

Additional Training:
First Aid training will be provided.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation processes.
