Finance Support Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a Finance Support Assistant to provide essential assistance to the Finance Business Partner team in the London & South East region. This role is crucial in delivering financial insights and support across various operational and project initiatives.

Role Responsibilities
The Finance Support Assistant will:
  • Deliver reliable support services to the Finance Business Partner team, collaborating with property teams to offer guidance and constructive feedback, particularly concerning project management and financial forecasts.
  • Engage in forecasting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
  • Facilitate finance training sessions across the region, empowering budget holders with the necessary tools to manage their financial responsibilities effectively.
  • Utilize our reporting system to monitor expenditures and variances, proactively liaising with teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Team Environment
Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner, you will be part of a dedicated team of seven professionals. Your support will extend to four Finance Business Partners, each managing a distinct portfolio. The team encompasses various core functions, including visitor services, conservation efforts, and multi-faceted investment projects.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who possess:
  • Confidence in working with numerical data and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication abilities to convey financial information effectively.
  • Capability to maintain and enhance data systems and processes.
  • An understanding of governance and compliance standards.
  • Analytical skills to interpret management information for informed decision-making.
  • Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment.
