We are seeking a Financial Operations Support Specialist to assist the Finance Business Partner team in the London & South East region, providing essential financial guidance and analysis across various operational and project initiatives.

In this role, you will deliver dependable support to the Finance Business Partner team, collaborating with property teams to offer insights and constructive feedback, particularly regarding project management and financial forecasting.

Work Environment

Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner, you will join a dedicated team of seven professionals. Your responsibilities will span across four Finance Business Partners, each managing distinct portfolio areas. The team oversees critical functions, including visitor services, conservation efforts, and multi-faceted investment projects.

You will experience a remarkable variety of tasks, work alongside knowledgeable and committed colleagues, and contribute to the stewardship of significant landscapes, all while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

While the primary location for this position is flexible, there is an expectation of in-office attendance, with the possibility of working at various National Trust locations for a portion of your workweek. This will be discussed further during the interview process. The role may also require occasional travel to meet with finance teams and support property-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include assisting with financial forecasting and reporting. You will work closely with property managers and project leaders to ensure that financial forecasts are precise and that all relevant information is current within the financial management system. Additionally, you will facilitate finance training across the region and assist with reporting systems, empowering budget holders to effectively manage their financial resources.

Utilizing our reporting system, you will monitor expenditures and variances against budgets, proactively engaging with teams to guarantee the accuracy of financial data and the completion of necessary documentation.
