Position Overview

The role of a Social Care Worker within the Bail Supervision framework is pivotal in providing support to individuals released on bail. This service aims to facilitate compliance with bail conditions through regular meetings with a designated supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive bail assessments to assist the court in decision-making.
  2. Manage and oversee supervised bail orders, ensuring adherence to conditions.
  3. Utilize formal assessment tools, such as the Justice Outcome Star, to evaluate individual needs and risks.
  4. Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with statutory and voluntary services.
  5. Maintain communication with the Courts regarding individual progress and compliance.
  6. Prepare and submit breach reports to relevant authorities in cases of non-compliance.

This position requires a commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable individuals, ensuring that remand is utilized appropriately. Membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme is mandatory upon appointment.
