As the Political Risk Claims Supervisor, you will lead a diverse and inclusive claims team, guiding a group of skilled professionals.
You will represent AXA XL at industry gatherings and engage with brokers and clients, leveraging your expertise in the Political Risk and Crisis Management insurance sector to enhance the claims process and support business development initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include mentoring your team in managing significant and complex claims. You will ensure adherence to service standards, demonstrating excellence in customer service. Additionally, you will provide valuable insights into portfolio management and industry trends to both internal and external stakeholders, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Your essential duties will encompass:
· Overseeing the technical management of Political Risk claims and supervising Crisis Management claims.
· Collaborating with the broader Specialty Claims Leadership team to align with strategic priorities.
· Managing resource allocation and workload distribution within your team.
· Monitoring the performance of your direct reports, setting clear objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting their career development.
· Ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with performance metrics and operational protocols.
· Managing a portfolio of claims in accordance with established guidelines and authority.
· Providing direction on coverage analysis, investigations, evaluations, reserving, and resolution of claims.
· Ensuring appropriate governance over large claims and collaborating with relevant leaders and actuarial teams.
· Acting as the primary contact for underwriting, actuarial, and key stakeholders regarding claims trends and insights.
· Supporting the development and execution of engagement strategies for brokers and clients in the Political Risk and Crisis Management domain.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
· In-depth knowledge of Political Risk and Crisis Management claims.
· Proven experience in managing large and complex claims, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and underwriters.
· Commitment to delivering prompt, fair, and innovative claims services that strengthen broker and client relationships.
· Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
· Familiarity with Lloyd's and Company Market systems and protocols.
· A mindset focused on continuous improvement and the ability to implement strategic plans.
