Job Title: Senior Marine Claims Adjuster
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Claims Adjuster to join our team at Claims Recruitment Services. As a Senior Marine Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Direct and Facultative Reinsurance Claims across a range of classes, including Cargo, Fine Art & Specie, Marine Hull, Marine Liability, Crisis Management, Political Risk / Trade Credit, and Upstream Energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Handling: Act within an agreed claims handling authority and uphold departmental objectives.
- Claim Notification and Determination: Receive and act upon first notifications and updates, determining coverage.
- Policyholder Engagement: Take a fair and proportionate approach towards policyholders.
- Claim Agreement: Agree valid claims.
- Reserve Establishment: Establish and maintain reserves.
- Negotiation and Communication: Carry out negotiations with brokers, face to face when required.
- Complex Claim Handling: Handle complex claims through the discovery process to obtaining judgement.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Experience of handling Marine Liability and/or Energy / Casualty Claims. Candidates with broader Marine Claims experience would also be of interest.
- Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Strong litigation, mediation, dispute resolution and deposition skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Technical Knowledge: Full working knowledge of ECF and DocoSoft.
